XGAMES CRAZINESS PART 2

...and then there were the BMX riders which
had a big air contest on the mega ramp.
The paramedic truck in front of the ramp
says it all. Insane ! They were dropping in
on a wooden ramp that was as steep as
a ski jump. ON A BMX BIKE !!!

XGAMES CRAZINESS PART 1

After the already spectacular Beach Games, we went to see
the finals of the XGAMES. Hmmm... All the riders seem to
be still alive, but believe, it was crazy and it really
is a miracle that they survived. Just imagine somebody
doing a double backflip on a motocross bike!!!
TRAVIS PASTRANA IS THE NEW EVEL KNIEVEL, for all I know !!!
The pictures say it all, although the double backflip
is not included.

BEACH GAMES IN HUNTINGTON BEACH

Last weekend we went down to Huntington Beach to check out the
Bank of the West Beach Games. It was a super hot day and we all
got our share of sun, but the action was impressive. Rob Machado
won the Surfing competition. He's my hero! A true soul surfer.
The BMX riders were out of control. As the commentator said "That
trick makes no sense", when a rider was performing a seat grab
and barspin as one trick. And then it happened. One rider actually
did a tailwhip flare in the bowl. For all of you who don't get the
idea, look at the pic with the BMX guy upside down and the back wheel
not where it's supposed to be. Insane!
The skaters also rocked and the Freestyle Motocross was pretty spectacular
as well, as can be easily seen on the pics. A great day in the sun.
And we were truly entertained...

A NIGHT AT THE STANDARD HOTEL

Media magazine RES presented a lovely night of Brazilian "Ginga"
at the legendary Standard Hotel in Hollywood. Brazilian graphic
design was showcased and some short films were projected on the
screen by the pool. It was a lovely night with Niels & Mel.

YEN MUSIC VIDEO SHOOT

We did a music video for Asian-American artist YEN.
This time we shot in a loft in downtown LA. It was
an awesome location and the crew was really nice.
Two of my friends from Germany, Niels & Mel,
helped out on the shoot and we all had a great time.
It was dark, though, and only one light rigged to
the camera. The video is not done yet, but the footage
looks great.
